School is officially back in session here at LIU & we are finally getting back into a rhythm!
We are still building and setting a foundation together that we will stand on. Last year we ended the season giving 100% effort, winning the last 4. We put everything together, differences aside, leaned on each other and it was FUN!
The hardest part about making sure your program’s foundation is strong, is consistency. We are working hard to be consistent in our learning, listening, and putting details into action. Everyday, we are working to become better.
Summer 2021 was great for our players & we were able to improve individually, as well as a team. We were able to start our plans for the new year, with offensive and defensive changes to fit our 2021-’22 squad. The players loved the many changes, and embraced the freedom to find “their shot” and “own their moves''
At the beginning of each season we emphasize some of our standards as SHARKS...
-Every moment is a chance to be a good person.
-Be a good teammate.
-Each year, you gain new sisters. Have your sisters back!
-Respect each other. Love each other. Care for each other.
-Push each other to become more impactful on and off the court.
-This is another year for growth!
When you are part of our program, the goal is that you will feel a sense of family! We genuinely care & respect one another.
Together, #sidebyside, we will always RISE.
Each of us are responsible to do our part & make these special years memorable. The entire program leans on this culture. We work hard to recruit young women that align with this idea of #FAMILY & a staff that believes in it as well. I believe our culture should be emulated through each & every person in this program.
